Earl Weaver redux?

Any of you real geezers may remember an old DOS baseball management sim called You could type in stats from your Bill James Baseball Abstract for any team, and then play them against another team. My buddy Ed and I at the Chula Vista newspaper would stay at work for hours happily typing in stats like Joe Morgan's batting average against left handers with two strikes on the count - and then, after weeks of typing, finally get to play a five-game series of my 1975 Reds against his '86 Mets.

A new game looks like it might have all that geekiness and fun: . It's on Steam, and it looks like you don't even have to type in your stats anymore!

Any one else here into these management sims, where you set the lineup, call for steals and pitchouts and outfield shifts, but don't swing the bat or throw the ball?
