Anyone heard from Lil' Stevie? Steam says he hasn't been online in 9 mos. I ws looking at the new PGA 2K game and was thinking of getting it, but wanted to see what he thought - last year, Stevie and I were playing The Golf Club 2 nearly every day with his brother in law.

I'm pretty sure I saw him playing BF1 earlier this week. He is showing as offline in Origin friends list now.

yeah he pops in on origin every now and then playing battlefield.. and as far as pga tour 2k21 i wont be playing it unless they finally put 3 click in.. lol.. and im not using a ruler or book to swing straight.. but didnt know you played drfr.. i have both the golf club and the golf club 2.. just cant get the swing mechanic down with a mouse and keyboard..

Rattle - I'm still waiting for a golf sim on PC as good as the old PGA Tour game, or the Jack Nicklaus series up through JN5. The current JN sim on Steam has terrible reviews - or at least wildly uneven. Golf Club 2 - the chipping mechanics were terrible. Drives, long irons, mid irons and putting all were fine - but then you'd get in rough and it was suddenly a complete crap shoot.

I remember back in the DOS days I had the Jack Nicklaus Signature Edition - and I'd go on dial-up BBS to download courses people had created in the course editor. I had hundreds of courses for that game.

I wish somebody would do something similar with modern graphics ...

the tiger woods series was fun.. but none of them will play on windows 10.. rory mclroy for xbox was fun also.. but only on xbox.. not on pc.. i would buy the new pga tour 2k21 if only they would put 3 click in... and the developers say that takes all the fun out of it and not true golf.. i say malarky.. lol.. loved the tiger woods online.. you had rankings and could team up and scramble or best ball.. was really fun.

Tiger Woods on the Wii was my favorite golf sim ever - you held the controller ... and swung like a club! There was a campaign, you could earn unlocks to get cool new outfits and gear, your player improved with play (I was driving about 320 yards, striping it down the middle, when I stopped playing). I may boot that back up - I loved that game!

Links for DOS had great graphics, but you had to buy all the add-on courses - seemed a bit of a rip off.

"PGA Championship Golf 2000" was my original clan's go-to game on LAN night. Multiplayer, and unintentionally hilarious voice-over by Gary McCord: "Looks like a 3 iron ... AND IT IS!"

Which of course got repurposed when we switched over to Battlefield 2: "Looks an AK ... AND IT IS!"
