More than 4 screws were missing. I found 4 and installed them, there are still 4 missing. You never had any screws back out because you did not transport them halfway across the U.S. in the back of a semi trailer.

Tech had no problem believing the scenario. After hearing how long my rig sat at each stop along he way by Estes, he stated that many times when a package like that sits in a facility for that long and so many times, it tends to get shoved and knocked around quite a bit, and that's when damage occurs.

Yes I did get a 3080, as a matter of fact what they installed was the ASUS TUF Gaming RTX3080!

You need to have Scorpio hand-deliver the replacement PC when it's ready ...

lol, I have thought about driving out there myself and picking it up. But the way this Covid thing is going, the whole country is going to be on lock down before too long. Plus, I don't like taking my old truck on any long trips. Still runs great but needs new tires and has almost 300,000 miles on it.

PC got to the RMA division of Digital Storm Friday. That is Stage 1.
When a tech becomes available to work on my rig, shouldn't be too long, and he can duplicate the problem then that is Stage 2. That won't take long, all they have to do is turn it ON and problem duplicated.
Stage 3 is the problem resolved. That might take a bit. They have to figure out if it is the MB or CPU. My money is on the MB being the problem. The Asus Maximus Hero XII has 9 MB mounting screws. I found 4 and 4 are still missing. That means, simple arithmetic, that ONLY ONE screw was holding the MB to the case. I am sure this caused the MB to flap around with every little bump, probably breaking a solder point or two or three.
Stage 4 is stress testing again for the whole system. Stage 5 is back to QA and then return shipping.

Stage 1 needs to be a big apology and building you a new rig from scratch ...

I don't hold DS at fault, UNLESS, the builder did not use all of and did not tighten down the MB screws AND QA did not do their job. That is the least likely scenario.
The more likely scenario is those MB screws backed out because of ESTES rough ride and treatment while it sat at each stop for so long.
