Email came in from NFO about our box in regards to a location outage. I am sure it wasn't just our box, but here is the explanation in case you experienced gaming/TS issues lately. >>>>

"Our router is experiencing a strange problem in Dallas that is causing a connectivity outage there. We have contacted Internap and asked on-site staff to reboot it as soon as they can.

Update @ 1:06am CDT: The router rebooted and appears to be working again. We are continuing to investigate what happened and to monitor it closely. From what we have seen so far, it appears that it might have been an OS bug -- and if so, we will need to work on an OS update in the near future. Currently we use a newer OS on our Chicago router and it seems to be performing well."

Yeah, our TS went down late last night while I was playing World of Warships. Came back up about 35 mins. later.

KF2 went down on the Boss level for me...figures!

I just experienced a TS disconnect while in game at 1702 Eastern. Did not impact game and was reconnected about 3 - 4 mins later..

This was around 10pm PDT and it included KF servers and TS.

**June 7th**

Seeing as how I missed last night's meeting (which I really wanted to make) I thought I would update Geezers here on our Acct. status.

Bills were paid on June 2nd and June 5th. This is what our fun costs us per month (figures rounded off) :

$179 for the box, $51 for 136 BF4 slots and $25 for TS3 @ 100 slots for a total of $256
Donations after the Acct. switch over were sparse. Benjie donated twice, end of May and 1st of June, a pubber (mentioned below) donated end of May. When I came back from my trip I put in $200 myself to pay bills. Right after that, Scorpio donated, I think Beef (based off the email name), someone who has the name "quit" in their email addy and Rusty Cage just recently donated. We now have $119 in our ACCT. that will go towards next months "Rent".

I would like to thank those that donated to our NFO fund and I only mention names this time since I missed the meeting. In the future, when you donate via the link on our HOME PAGE, please take the time to fill the NOTE box with your Geezer gaming name and a YES or NO (this will tell me if you want your name mentioned as donating or not). With your name there and not just some unfamiliar email name, I will be able to thank you personally.

I would like to make a special mention of one pubber named kh_hawkes. Just a pubber and nice guy that happens to have played KF1 and now KF2 with us for quite some time. You have probably seen him in our TS. I mention him because, even as a pubber who frequents our servers and just recently started using our TS when gaming with us, felt it important to make a donation to our ACCT. So yes, pubbers also can help support us if they are using our stuff for their gaming pleasure.

We have never had a hard rule on donating and for the most part in the past, it was never an issue. Hopefully, very soon in the future, I won't have to pay a big portion of our dues myself. I am willing to do it for a short period in an effort to keep GeezerGaming alive.

I believe that since we made some tough decisions and changes recently, we now have a nice website and forums that are being taken care of and we again, have a great place to call our "Gaming Home". We are starting to see membership pick up and old Geezers making an appearance again.

Im curious about the BF4 server slots you mention. You say we have 136 slots.....?
I only see us with 1 server now,at least that all I can find listed and its only 64 player. Where are the other 72 slots coming from? Or is my games browser just broken? I know Im most likely missing something here but just wanted to know.
Hopefully I can donate soon,summers are hard for me...my utility bill more than doubles in summer....gotta love hot humid Texas summers.

Sorry all I missed last nights meeting,I crashed on the couch...again diabetes is taking a big toll on me lately,plus I think Im having another health issue making me really tired...and no available doctors until next month.

The other "slots" were being used for two 32 man servers up until recently. Clumpy said they weren't being used so he took them down so the BF4 players could concentrate on populating the 64 man server. They can always be put back up if we feel the need or just want to.

Even if we reduced the number of those slots to just cover the 64 man server plus a few extra slots for Spectating by Admins or Pubbers, we would not reduce the cost enough to make it worth the effort. The slots only cost us .375 cents per slot. So, we would only reduce costs by around $20.00.

I lost my job or else I would donate. Once I get another job i'll send some money in. Thanks everyone who donated!
